I might start looking into adopting a cat. Wife has been wanting to get one but I was trying live pet free for a while but after this a cat could give me a good piece of mind.

 

For rats, a friend of mine has some electronic zapper that's crazy. Puts some food in it, the rat crawls in and it freakin electrocutes the crap out of it.

 

I heard a story where mice layed a nest in a guys fan or something like that while the car was sitting for the winter.

He started the car up in the spring and he heard a terrible grinding noise and he went to check it out and saw that his whole engine bay was covered in blood.

 

yeah, i saw cases of that when i worked at the dealership. customer would say the car smells and the tech would pull out all kinda once living things out of the fan.

 

These are the "humane" option for catching rats. The sizes they come in are ridiculous, it's the equivalent of the chair for those little buggers, they're reusable, but I'm sure they'll stink up the joint after the first few kills.

I killed a posseum with a samurai sword before lol. kept eating my chickens. that thing is tough as hell.

What was really bad is I had one of them "hold my beer and watch this" moments. Was walking out to the garage with one of my 10/22's in hand when the partner goes "what are you doing?" I of course said "im gona shoot a rat thats in the rafters"...he just stared at me...took me a good 30-40 seconds before it dawned on me that might be a bad idea.
