anyway...this was the craziest halloween and scariest me and my kids ever had.. i took my kids to ala moana at 4 to be there early...then after they had more than enough candy and fun...went to my parents house - kalihi for the usual family gathering/bbq and trick or treating...anyway, took my kids down the road of mokauea st. just down the road from my parents place... for supposedly fun trick or treating for them then all of a sudden a loud bang...some kid shoot another kid..(teens)...i freaked...my kids freaked...running like crazy....and so as everyone else....only in freak*n kalihi..... crazy! crazy.... crazy...glad i took them to ala moana first and we got there early and they had a great time....

so how did everyone else's trick or treating go?

 

Thats CRAZY! If i was with my kids and that happend i would be trippin.

^^^ oh i was running for my kids life last night.... 'coz no matter how careful you are when there's always someone stupid enough to include you in theirs you know.... then you can get seriously injured or hurt....

then i said to myself...some crazy sh*t always happens when my husband is not here!

heck..i don't even know how i managed to grab both of my kids with their baskets filled with candies and carried them running back to the house...

then my son goes: why mom? they ran out of candies? maybe that's why they're mad...lol... i was like i don't know son...but we have to hurry and go...lol...

 

why am i not surprised...well born and raised in kalihi as a child - - valley girl...but i always felt self up there - - kids watch too much tv and want to be like thugs on rap videos! dumb a**es!

^^ i know huh..but it's messed up how they're still trying to find the guy(s) that started this..from the news this morning..over heard it from my dad that the police last night didn't catch the kid....so they're trying to look i guess..

yeah it was like right there...well...let me rephrase that....when i heard the gun shot, i looked and i saw the kid that was shot already down...and the others running.....then that's when people around started to react because of the screaming... and i was like holy crap! because you don't know if whoever had the gun will just go totally crazy and start grabbing anybody for the hell of it you know...and it's just right there literally by my parents... my kids and jess was the first one to come to my mind... i guess you don't think about yourself anymore when it happens to you... when you have your kids with you....

This is the reason why I own firearms of my own. Clearly for defense.

When I was younger I used to be against guns but as I have grown I realize that even though I would rather someone squash a beef "like a man" most a-holes will pull a gun because it makes them feel manly. That, and now that we live further out from the city we tend to be further away from the help of cops then I would like.
