so much "old wives tale" in this thread...

here's my routine:

1. start car.
2. adjust mirrors, if needed.
3. turn on radio. if hot MILF neighbor visible, start rockin' in the car...
4. seat belt.
5. close door.
6. drive it like i stoled it..

Are you exaggerating or being serious? Would you floor it, full boost onto a freeway onramp in 45-60 degree weather after the car has only been running a few minutes? I cant imagine how that would not significantly decrease engine life/performance during the lifespan of the engine.

I let it warm up a couple minutes on cold start.

Dunno if this applies to N/A models as well, but IIRC you're not supposed to rev to warm up the car. I got a misfire from (allegedly) doing this.
