CHP under every rock this week
CHP got me last week on 50 headed to tahoe. Around 11 at night, im the only car on the road, brights on, crusing downhill in neutral. next turn, I find my brights only to reflect off a CHP's door hiding off of a turnout...I knew I was going faster than 55mph so I was totally coropative with the officer, untill he wrote me up for my euro front plate and no proof of insurence...I told my neiighboor who is a chp about this, he looked at the ticket and rite away recongnized the officers name, supposedly he is one of the biggest *******s in El dorado county. Be carful driving up to tahoe fellas. dont get a 450$ ticket
......ah yeah El Dorado...... my last ticket was from this place 3 years ago. Officer Jong crossed the grassy dividing area of 50 just to pull me over and give me a ticket. Luckily, it was a little over 18 months since my prior ticket, so I traffic-school'd it.
I've been all over Hickey and El Camino Real last week doing countless trips all day and night (moving stuff), and yeah I did notice more LEO's, and at least one car pulled over each day.

If they want it for the money then they should make it so your insurance does not go up, or more tickets allow before yanking our license
I would have no problem with that.

Yeah county sheriff and city cops let me off a bunch of times withwarnings knowing I drive the area a lot...chp is less involved with community so they prolly give more tickets ha
I don't know about the South bay but the northbay CHP and city cops have been getting the new charger. Saw a chp one the other day on 680 and a two American Canyon chargers.
they also have a ghost white charger with reflective markings (nothing in color) on the side, no uptop light bar as well. During the day you can barely tell its a cop car.

and the proper answer is "I am sorry officer but I do not consent to a search of my person or property at this time" folowed again politely with "am I free to go?"

I've ranted about this cop before, some of you might remember.
There's a CHP that hides on 680 (near McKee, depends on which side of traffic) at night time with his lights off in the middle shoulder area... There is like 2 feet of room between the fast lane and his cruiser... It's almost impossible to see his car at night because of oncoming traffic lights concealing him.
It's so friggin dangerous... How is it legal for him to do this? He's outside of his car with a radar gun, pitch black, can't see ANYTHING until you're right next to him.
It's not so much the radar part, it's the part where if you accidentally hit that cop you go to jail for the rest of your life, all because he's being an irrisposible *******.
I want to mount a camera to my car and video tape his tactics, then present it to his superiors. I know damn well that what he;s doing isn't safe and I know his supervisor would NOT approve.
F' CHP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see this idiot like once a week, always in the same area off 680, and always around 8-9pm when traffic dies down and people start speeding.

I passed him before just by couple feet of his car on the shoulder. It was so black, I riding close to the line on the left shoulder and the suddenly I freaked out out of no where there was his car that I pass at 70mph only missing it by 2 feet, which is too close for me. There was no way I could see his car ahead of time, he parked in the darkest place. He was standing outside of his driver door with his lidar in his hand pointed at me, he just watches me drive by.
There's an all black cruiser that hides with all of his light off in a corner where there isn't any street lights and waits for people to run a stop sign (the road 5 miles long and is dead empty so I'm guessing a lot of people run it). I always squint and stare hoping I can spot his car back there.

Blame it on spring break. My radar has been going off like mad the last week. Yesterday on the way to lunch there was a pack of 4 bikes doing ticket shuttle runs on the 101.

Someone else notice heavy enforcement lately:
