Does anyone here have any experience with the Apexi power FC on a USDM WRX?

They are a great ECU but I was always under the impression there was a little more involved in getting them working in our model than just plugging them in and using a laptop to tune?

could it be argued that reflashing back to stock (for smog, selling car) should be significantly cheaper?

Since you are not purchasing anything new, simply reverting to what u originally have...

I think he meant like a temporary reflash to go get smogged. I mean that would be very comforting come smog time. But I guess we'll know if the ECUtek can pass CA smog soon anyway.

My question: Which of the ecu's (or reflashes) will allow for AVCS tuning?

I'm more interested if it would work for the N/A JDM AVCS EJ25 though

We arrived at our pricing based upon the development time we put into our remapped ECUs-- which is considerable. Keep in mind that our ECU mapping is proprietary to us and represents the best of our engine tuning ability with respect optimizing performance, reliability and drivability.

It's cheaper here:

though for the difference I would go Vishnu or I-Speed.
