The point was time spent (a custome tuning) vs. some off the shelf flashing (heh).

Note that DeltaECU is a tool purely for the experienced commercial tuner, and will not be supplied to individual enthusiasts or clubs.

I know there's some board game like this...what's its name?

Can anyone provide me a ride in their ECU-flashed WRX? I am in the San Jose area and really considering the flash. How about the gas milage after the flash? I get about 20 per gallon average (including city and freeway)
If anyone is willing to help me out please contact me through email

Thanks

Alan

We have a spare ecu that we play around with. We could just run it in your car and you could see for yourself

That's a pretty cool idea!

Care to elaborate for those of us too lazy to hit up your website? Free advertising opportunity!!

And thank you Skywalker, that answers all my questions. It makes a lot more sense now. I just wish there was a way for ME to do the tuning because I find that kind of thing very interesting and would very much like to learn how to do it first hand. I guess that's what the XEDE is for. Let's some one who actually knows what they're doing do the real tuning and then the n00b gets to tinker around with the settings a bit which makes him feel like he's actually tuning.

EDIT: how is ECUtek pronounced? i'm thinking ee-kyoo-tek... sound right?

Anyway for those of you that are lazy I-Speed USA currently charge 75 an hour, though within the coming months prices will be on the rise. As we have to cover a few more things now that we did not have before. Namely more ECU's to learn and the ability to tune...

Anyway as for those poeple that want the ability to tune. I still think the WRXLink is a great unit for being to play around with a lot for an extremely competitive price compared to the UTEC and what not.
I don't know very much about the WRXlink compared to the UTEC and possumlink and the rest. Can you explain what the capabilites of the WRXlink are and perhaps some pros and cons against the UTEC? Also I remember seeing some threads about problems with the link causing bad idle, probably all wtly but all info is much appreciated. Thanks in advance. (include prices please )
