just instead of looking for it, i took it off and put it back on, and made sure all was tight, but then i came to find out that one fo the bolts holding the bov on was hand tight so i tried to tighten it and theres NO THREADS for it to grab onto in the ic, so i need a new ic anyways, but for now i used some gaskey sealant to try and hold it down and it ran fine for a day then the problem came back

well, first i would make sure you don't have any boost leaks, and if you do just have gst repair them or do it yourself if able. i don't know why they think you should be running a fmic, there are plenty of sti's out there that have well over 350whp and run tmic's. so i don't think getting a fmic is going to solve your problem. and if it only started happening two 2 weeks ago i don't think the tuner or old owner should be held responseable.
just my $0.02, good luck!

I think my friend is just looking for that "that happened to me" person. Please do not flame him for seeking help,

Sorry....
OK so I was a bit harsh and for that I apologize, but Greg and Mike really do know their stuff, and your car is non-stock enough that its unlikely anyone else is going to have run into exactly the same situation as you.
That is one of the things about taking a high performance car and wringing even more out of them, you never know what other part of the system can't keep up or needs to get upgraded.
Good luck sorting things out...
