Sorry to hear that, Jane. Yeah, I broke into our own car once with a coat hanger.. just got to pull the window back a bit, then push the unlock door button.

its ridiculously easy to break into the frameless window subys, just pull the window back and unlock the door using a stick to push down the button. I had to do it once after locking myself out when my extra key fell out of my wetsuit.

i plan on installing deadbolts on my doors(only works with alarm w/ override hidden), just been procastinating because i gotta do it on all 4 doors -_-. havnt really looked into it so i dont know how hard it'll be but...i cant stop the thiefs from stealing my car or stealing my equipment...i'll just make it hard for them...and perhaps lag them enough for me to run out there with a 4 iron.

doesnt seem hard, just some door actuators and metal rods, poke some holes, run wires and walla. i think hard part is finding a easy place to drill holes in, about 15-20mm :x

Many thanks for all the replies. Yeah, I'd kind of guessed it's cos of the frameless windows. Parking is a challenge in my neighbourhood, especially if I come home late at night. Now if I have to park it far from my place I've started moving it the next morning so that it's parked across the street from where I live in Oakland.
