Car broken into to ...

The good news is that nothing was broken and nothing appears to have been stolen. However what I find extremely disconcerting is that there was no obvious sign of entry. The driver's door was open a little way, "blowing in the breeze". Are WRX's really that easy to break into?

This happened just around the corner from where I live. I have to park on the street because I don't have a garage or driveway. I always put the club on and set the alarm, what more can I do?

So it was broken into, but nothing was broken?

and nothing was stolen?

I read the story a few times, and I've concluded that it sounds like maybe you just left your door open a bit

buy an aftermarket alarm... something that has a sensitivity to surrounding area near the car...

What I did not mention was that the contents of both the glove box and the small compartment between the front seats were emptied out onto the front passenger seat.

Obviously the stuff I carry in my car has no value.

Something similar happened to me recently, I can't figure out how they got in though.

And it wasn't a theft getting in, it was a cop, to move something I had on my dash that was covering my VIN so that he could give me a parking ticket.

ya for real. frameless windows suck. my buddy hyper hippo just had his car broken into all they did was get thier grubby little fingers under the window and pulled really hard. bent his door to s**t and everything. I just dont take my subie to the city anymore and i never park more than 50ft from anywhere i am sleeping. proxemities arent a good answer. if some douche bag wants to break and and take your stuff he will. its like a 50/50 with an alarm. only the noob crooks will run if an alarm goes off. i know a guy whos car got broekn into alarm kept going off he had enough time to put on his shoes, go grab his gun and the dumb bastards still were in his car when he came out. it took him a bit to get to his car he lives in an apartment. they went to jail. you have to be more aware nowadays. you got lucky, just count your blessing and buy a better alarm system

I locked my keys in once and the AAA guy got it open in less than 10 seconds. If you don't have an alarm, it's not hard.

Frameless windows, awesome for light doors, crappy for deterring thieves.

Alarm +100, It's your only bet.

and +1 for stupid prox. sensor alarms.
