buying a shot gun. tips
hehe, i might sound like a hippy wishing for peace, but i'm in the middle. i'm not anti guns and i'm not super pro guns. i understand why they are needed. i'm not anti because i believe that it's just a tool, guns are not the problem, it's what some people do with them that's the problem. and i'm not super pro guns, we can live with out them (but that will suck soo much....)
do you think gun owners DONT WANT peace?
lol, it's not that they don't want peace, it's just a different way of getting peace. there are some that say if you want peace prepare for war. and there are others that say if you want peace fight for justice. fight fire with fire, or fight fire with ..... magic i guess? lol but like i said, i understand why we need them. i agree with peace with war. people will die for what they believe in. but damnit, what an awesome dream of fighting with "magic..." but that's the pipe dream again
yeah, all guns do the "same" but what i ment by what i said is like... a hunting rifle, vs a m60. one is a tool for food and the other is a tool for war. i love my meat, but not human meat... but thinking about this... i'm on both sides of the fence again, m60? ****ing cool gun, love what it can do and how it works, but it sucks that the brilliance of it was born for the intentions of killing people... or the modern day zombie... like the ones in left 4 dead... wow they are ****ing FAST!!!
it's not that my own life isn't worth protected but i guess i'd be less proactive about it? idk... it's kinda like doing extreme sports with you're young and reckless, you don't think about your self and what can happen. vs when you get a family, and you're worried about going out in the rain and catching a cold.

bird shot????
jeez people... looks like some of you DONT want a firearm.
lemme rephrase.
when it gets to the point that you MUST use a firearm, you are there to use DEADLY FORCE.
DEADLY FORCE.
if you think you're gonna scare them by buckshots, it's too late.
i think some of you need to take a course on firearm self defense courses...

I have a shotgun, a Remington 870 Marine Magnum in a lovely matte stainless/nickel finish.
Holds 6 rounds in the tube, one in the chamber.
Rounds in the tube are loaded as such:
Sabot slug, 00 Buck, 00 Buck, #8 Bird, #8 Bird, #8 Bird.
Trust me...it works.
I can not stress training/ experience enough.
Go to a range, take some courses, and expect to shoot up several hundred's of dollars of ammo before becoming proficient with the weapon.
Everyone in the household must become proficient with any weapon that you bring home.
Also, practice "stressful/injured" shooting techniques; reactive targets, weak hand shooting, etc.
A gun battle is the last place to practice.

Just a bit of poking fun from a non gun owner.
I live in Richmond now and have lived in the ghetto for most of my life, and honestly don't feel the need for a gun.
Unless you live in a house/apt that's been broken into previously while you've lived there, you don't NEED a firearm...you just WANT one to feel like a badass.
