Great news, I was getting it on in the field when this came about so it made the exhaustion that much sweeter when I heard it this morning. I had a cup of coffee and a BLT in Bin Laden's memory. Glad the last thing that went through his head was some all-American 5.56/7.62.

I'm confused about the ending of the raid... it was stated that the US took his corpse, washed it in Islamic practice and then "buried it" North Arabian Sea.

They were extracted by helo and likely made a break for the sea. IDing the body, returning vital intel from site exploitation and evacing casualties I'm sure was crucial during the planning phase of this operation.
