johns car is ridiculously loud, but sounds so good.

 

So from this thread I get the feeling that:

- most people are being pulled over for legitimate reasons
- some people are unfairly getting the ricer profile and being harassed
- stealth mods DO work for stealth

 

running on perrin catless dp for the past couple days. had a bike cop sit next to me on the freeway earlier today then rode off. i will need to buy an exhaust soon. my car is SRP and slammed. she used to scream pull me over when i was still rolling on gold volks, but i never had a problem with the five0's.

 

I'm 24, but I don't look a day over 16 I swear LOL
2004 white sti sitting on volk look-a-like rims, stock size, and a bling-bling jdm leaf badge. Oh yea, I have a weksos rear license plate frame, and two bronze, and very tiny weksos stickers on my rear passenger windows.

Just today, as i was turning on Agnew, a bike cop stares me down from his permanent "I'm an ***-hole with a radar gun--and authority--and I hide behind these bushes to catch you slipping" post. However, all he does is stare.

Same cop, two-years ago, pulled me over in my 99 civic si. I had a greddy evo2 exhaust, tinted windows, and no front license plate . . actually, those are the only mods he could see hehe anyway, he pulls me over and tells me my exhaust has been modified. As he's walking away, he says, "Oh, i see your windows are tinted, let me go ahead and give you a ticket for that too."

At that point, he steps to the front of the car and says: "Oh, where's your front license-plate?" I respond with, "Oh, right here", and point to the coveted spot on my windshield, where the license plate has found a great home Well, the dick may as well give me a ticket for that too, and he does.

but wait, it's not over, he asks me to pop my hood, and when I say no, he bullies me into it by threatening me with defying authority,and he has probable cause. ladies and gentlemen, I'm a Mexican/italian male, and cops don't like my type, even if I'm not your typical hyphy kid with a tall-tee, so I comply.

the bastard also cites me for an intake . . . damn knock-off intake

After that, I bought a type-r exhaust, stock intake, and stock rims . . oh, and a cusco relocator for my license plate. never got pulled over again in my civic . .. .but still, I've had much better luck with my sti.

Gotta love Santa Clara dick patrol . . drunk with power and giving us sobriety tests!!!

Only ran into the law once with the car and it was freaking parked. I'd think a CF hood on a white car would stick out like a sore thumb. Surprisingly, haven't been pulled over. Not much the cop can get me for anyways. Engine is completely stock.

never been pulled over for being modded (haven't been pulled over since graduation day of high school). However, I've had cops stare at the car, one of which went into reverse twice to go back and look, but that was also at 2:00 in the morning in a kind of ****ty area and I was talking to someone on the sidewalk. In Monterey I've had cops stop short at a light and look at the back end, and then slowly pull forward

Never been pulled over for modifications since i got the car last year
in March. But got a fix it ticket for not having number plate on the front bumper by Saratoga Ave. and 85 He gave me a ticket but let the other minivan female leave that was coming behind me

i actually jus got pulled over today for an expired registration and the cop said for modded exhaust and i then looked puzzled and said i bought it that way and havent touched the car, showed him my temp reg paper and he let me go..hahahaha acting dumb works i guess lol

I havent been pulled over for illegal mods in my old modded wagon or in my current STi *knocks on wood* I always get pulled over for driving like an A-Hole.

However Im always very polite and happen to be caucasion looking which unfortunately probably helps.
