So... I guess I should just roll on my M+S tires then?
If you already have summers on, (or since your s03's are almost dead will be replacing them with equivalent summers) then run the summers.

Our point about A/S was more about, "don't buy special tires just for the track if it's your first time". But if you already have summer street tires, then sure go ahead and run those at the track.

Got it, thanks. I think my S-03 are pretty slippery now, & I don't feel too confident w/ them... I'll roll on my Ziex ZE-912 (M+S).

I just got an email from Unlimited laps that said they've received all their information from Laguna Seca and will be putting a price on the website soon. Once they do that we can get a final count for our group and find out the group price.

I'm interested! I'm in Santa Cruz in November, so Leguna Seca isn't that far away. Count me in

Actually... unless it's raining, you probably want to run the S-03's since they are summer tires. You said previously that they are at the wear bars... if that's just NEAR the wear bars it's probably good. If it's at or below the wear bars (but you still have visible tread) you're probably still ok. The track day organizers just say wear bars to make sure you aren't running on cords (which can result in blow out).

Your S-03's at the wear bars might actually have the best traction of their life now... less tread block deflection... but that's a generalization. Personally, I still think your s-03s would be better to run than a M+S tire. Since it's your first time, you won't be using up much tread.

But to be safe, bring both sets of wheels. Run the S-03's (which will most likely last the whole day) and bring the M+S tires as backup.

As I said my S-03's pretty slippery to me now on street... I actually feel more confidence in my ZE-912 (M+S) even in dry now. I'll probably get the summer replacement soon & run it on track day. The question is... what would it be? Any suggestion?
