A sweet.. that's probably the Nov 30 date then. I'll be there.

unlimitedlaps is a great org.

Anything less than $300 is pretty reasonable. Thunderhill is about $225, but you have to spend money driving up and back. If the group discount gets it down to $275 or $250, that is actually a really good deal.

righteous, I'll take the list out of post #31 and let you keep track of people asking to be added until I get the official info from Unlimited Laps and make an official thread (I don't want to make an official thread until we have all the info though).

Sounds fair enough. I think this event would be a great bonding experience as well. Hope we can see some pretty good discounts.

Hi,

My name is Fendyman, I'm a track virgin.

Seriously... I'm interested but I need more info. What do I need besides a car & a helmet? Will there be an instructor that ride along for 1st timer/novice? Is this event limited to Impreza/Subaru cars only? Is there certain restriction in term of what kind of mods?

You'll want sufficient brake pads left (50%?) and good tire tread if you're running street tires. You will also need to get your car tech inspected prior to the event to make sure it is safe to drive on the track. This event is open to all types of cars, not just Subarus. There are no "restrictions" on the mods as long as the car is safe. However, since this is at Laguna Seca there is a sound limit which is 93 dB I believe. There are instructors for n00bs, however I don't know if unlimited laps puts them in your car or if you follow them.

I have Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position that probably good for another 4-5k miles street driving... should I get new tires for the event? If the S-03 is ok, I can roll on my M+S tires for the time being.

Who & where should I have the car inspected? or my regular mechanic would be just fine?
