I know it's vice, but still kinda a cool read...

 

Has to be better than 2 or 3 years ago. Me and Ray and his Dad were up at Bear Valley. We decided to ride a back section and thought he followed. We stopped and called out for him. No response, thought the worst. Caught up with Ski Patrol and we found out that he was at the resort and looking to make sure we were ok. So we looked around at the lodge and didn't see him, figured he continued skiing. We spent the rest of the day riding, went to his truck at end of day and he was no where to be found. Shortly afterwards a Bear Valley truck pulls up and asks which one is his son. Turns out that when we went on the back he didn't follow us, the snow was too deep. Instead he went on a groomer towards the lodge and took a tumble separating/breaking his collar bone. We weren't told by Ski Patrol that's what happened, so he spent the rest of the day in the Medical room waiting for us to go there so we could take him to the hospital. Definitely felt bad about that one.
