O.k.... so what then is your perspective? I'm getting tired of Wongr stroking his ego and you pointing out petty bull****. What is your perspective or is there no point to this ****. I honestly don't know why I bothered replying in the first place...

I find it quite surprising that people simply expect other individuals to react the same way they do to adversity/problems. "I did it! which means you are a ***** if you can't!". Seriously? that is some serious high school **** right there. Blaming the victims of bullying for lashing out is overtly simplistic thinking; what's next? Blaming rape victims for showing too much skin or wearing a slutty dress?
Whatever happened to walking a mile in someone else's shoes?

I really hope people read this. It really helps illustrate why you're on a short list for me.
fuzzy.. even in disagreement... you're not on that list. Just saying. You actually made some valid points. I am curious what your view on the situation at hand is... not your views on my opinion... difference there. So what exactly are your views.
It's easy to sit back and pot shot someone without standing on your own beliefs from time to time... hell... it can make you president.

Are you serious? I read this again a few times and realized that for all the intelligence related ego stroking you do, you really have no clue.

I was a small kid... and pretty damn funny looking. I was skinny, poor and one of the smallest ones in my school until probably my junior year in high school. I was 5'3" and literally did not have body hair my freshman year in high school.
I wonder if I was the target of bullying. How did I respond? I learned that pain is temporary and being tougher and crazier than the other dude went a long way. Kick enough asses and people leave you the **** alone. Period. Who's gonna **** with the kid that gets pissed off and knocks out the guy 3 years older and 60 pounds heavier?
Get my *** kicked... tough ****. Get up. Brush the dirt off. Go do some sit ups and push ups. Lift some weights. Try to come out on the good side next time.
Now a days kids feel entitled. They don't get treated to their dream life standards and they feel like YOU should be punished.
My dad and my sister were/are both teachers. My dad quit because he got tired of doing other people's parenting. He would cut kids slack... you turn in your home work you pass. Even if it sucks. Kids couldn't even do that. Why should they? They'll graduate anyways.
Bull****.
Don't blame the guns. Don't blame the system. Blame poor parenting and a generation of pussies.

Seems you are failing at reading comprehension cause I took it as he was bullied and this is how he dealt with it. There are many ways for bullying to be handled. But most kids will not admit to getting bullied. But society has created some children who cannot handle adversity. When they are faced against a bully a lot of children bottle it up. Then explode. Obviously this is speculation, but more than likely this kids parents didn't teach him how to handle a situation like being bullied.
The stupidity in this thread is mind boggling. What kind of ****ed up logic is saying "just toughen up *****". You guys are laughable and are incompetent to have kids if you think like that. YOU are the problem. Kids only know what they are taught. Goes both ways for the victim and the bully.

+1 for the assessment: laughable. I don't wanna start ****, but I'm strongly in disagreement with the majority of posts in this thread. I also respect wonger for having the fortitude to stand his ground while being greatly outnumbered.

It's easy to be vocal and adamant about your personal position when you are on the internet

If a kid has a bullying problem and he/she goes to his/her parents, and they tell them to suck it up, instead of actually reaching out to them, don't you think it would cause them to withdraw even more from society? To bottle things up even more?
OneManArmy's first response was to blame the child for being spoiled and entitled, how did he know that? Did he know the kid? the kid's parents? I HIGHLY doubt it. OneManyArmy then proceeds on to some long irrelevant tirade about children being spoiled. Why not blame the bully for being a f**kwad in the first place? What god given right does the bully have to be a dick to a student to the point where the kid feels that there is no other option other than to bring a shotgun to school?
He talks of "Fear of repercussion", well the bully obviously didnt fear the repercussions of well, bullying. Where is the blame and the chastizing of such cowardly behaviour? And by cowardly behaviour, i mean the bullying.
