Here we go again. But of course, it is totally the government's and gun industry's fault and NOT lack of proper parenting or the individuals negligence and disregard for proper ownership of a firearm *rolls eyes*

I find it quite surprising that people simply expect other individuals to react the same way they do to adversity/problems. "I did it! which means you are a ***** if you can't!". Seriously? that is some serious high school **** right there. Blaming the victims of bullying for lashing out is overtly simplistic thinking; what's next? Blaming rape victims for showing too much skin or wearing a slutty dress?

Whatever happened to walking a mile in someone else's shoes?

I hope society is happy with their fear of discipline and punishment for wrong actions. Every kid gets a trophy, ever kid gets a passing grade, every kid gets ice cream after class. Doesn't matter if that kid didn't do his/her homework or got in trouble or sucks at sports. Entitlement.

I was a small kid... and pretty damn funny looking. I was skinny, poor and one of the smallest ones in my school until probably my junior year in high school. I was 5'3" and literally did not have body hair my freshman year in high school.

I wonder if I was the target of bullying. How did I respond? I learned that pain is temporary and being tougher and crazier than the other dude went a long way. Kick enough asses and people leave you the **** alone. Period. Who's gonna **** with the kid that gets pissed off and knocks out the guy 3 years older and 60 pounds heavier?

Get my *** kicked... tough ****. Get up. Brush the dirt off. Go do some sit ups and push ups. Lift some weights. Try to come out on the good side next time.

Now a days kids feel entitled. They don't get treated to their dream life standards and they feel like YOU should be punished.

My dad and my sister were/are both teachers. My dad quit because he got tired of doing other people's parenting. He would cut kids slack... you turn in your home work you pass. Even if it sucks. Kids couldn't even do that. Why should they? They'll graduate anyways.

Bull****.

Don't blame the guns. Don't blame the system. Blame poor parenting and a generation of pussies.

Gosh damn I love your posts. We need to hang out. Quoted for TRUTH. My wife is a teacher and the stereotype you speak of is her daily life. "No Child Left Behind" what a friggin joke. She teaches all the ****-ups and retards that can't make it in real school too. I'm terrified for her safety constantly. Most of the kids are bigger than her and on more meds than a pro baseball player. And they are coddled.. (sp?) It makes me sick what these kids get away with and still move on to the next grade and/or graduate and are unleashed on the public to simply become permanent parts of the system.

Ray for senator!

I Couldn't agree more that everyone gets a trophy is bull****. Competition is a good thing. Stupid people keep me employed, and they aren't going away any time soon. In fact, they grow daily.

In today's age social media is incredible and showing these kids at such a young age how the spoiled and rich act is not doing them any favors. Some kids watch shows like that and know its bs, some don't. That usually correlates with parenting and how strict they are / aren't.

There is so much to say about this topic, but here's the deal. If the system was really that flawed everyone would be ****ed up and think it's ok to use guns. The fact that the vast majority know its a bad thing to do and a bad idea means that these people who think its ok are being influenced by something else the rest of us aren't being influenced by (****ty parenting / home life / mental disability all in one)

We'll make it happen this spring/summer for sure.

Thank your wife for me. She may not realize it but if she keeps doing what she knows is right she might make an impact that helps a few of those knuckle heads later on in life.

THEY ARE SEPARATE ISSUES. And you have applied your disdain for #2 to #1, why? I don't know. Instead of dismissing views that do not conform to your own, I suggest actually posting (preferably in a well-thought out, non-knee-jerk and logical manner) why you BELIEVE the digressing view is erroneous. Placing your hands over your ears and going "LALALALALALA I CANT HEAR YOU/I AM IGNORING YOU SO I'M RIGHT" is juvenile.

Parent/Guardians gotta talk to kids as they grow up how to deal with their feelings. And make it explicitly clear that Suicide and gun violence is not the way to do so in a mature manner. Get the right help, there are avenues.

It's just my opinion. We rarely agree. That was all I was saying. Doesn't mean anything but that. There are lots of folks I don't agree with and don't agree with me... some of them are even dear friends of mine.

So if that offends you, I'm sorry. Deal with it.

If you'd like me to address something then let me know what that might be?

oh... and as for me being an idiot... I'd venture to guess my I.Q. is substantially higher than yours so lets not go there. No one agrees on everything all the time.
Well if your ending statement was an indication of what you were trying to say then i think i understood quite clearly what you meant, now maybe you misunderstood me since as i was trying to say was that you can't point the finger at just one thing in these situations. I even went as far as to say i agree with what you are saying, all i meant was that you need to look a little broader at the situation.

It was an idiots response not because of your IQ, but because it's an incredibly close minded responses....we don't agree so thus i'm going to ignore what you say?

I guess i'm sorry i responded to your post, i'll let you climb back on your soap box now since clearly i have no understanding of any of this....cause you know me so well.

I am not blaming the gun industry i am just saying that we need to take another look at some of the laws surrounding fire arms...the point i was trying to make is that you can't blame just one person, one thing, or one idea these matters aren't as simple as "it's *blanks* fault.

No soap box. Still think you're missing my point. Cause/effect. Not blame. Blame is for scapegoats and pussies.

I will do this though... I apologize for tossing you in the box with WONGR. I think you can figure out which of the two most of my statements and annoyance was directed at.

My choice to disregard your statement wasn't because I disagreed it was because I didn't think you were grasping the point. I still don't. That and tossing in the gun ordeal where it didn't belong just shut me off.

All I read was "blah blah blah I didn't like what you guys said so I can ignore it, without any forethought on whether you may or may not have been right. "

Blame x 4.

You use the word blame four times in that sentence.

Perhaps i am being too literal? either way the cause is getting blamed by some one. Doesn't matter if it's you are someone else.
