WOW. so guess what. 6k miles later, my tranny BREAKS AGAIN while going into 2nd! i can't f*ing believe this. This whole time of babying the tranny and it breaks just like that!! i realy dont know what to do at this point. im thinking since 2nd gear broke, it should be covered since they never replaced that gear?

a couple of weeks ago, the advisor or whatever from stevens creek called my dad and was very apoligetic for the lousy service from the first incident and even offered to do oil changes and detailing and what not. now, my dad called them up and this guy acts like a dick on the phone saying that it might be abuse and he will not work on my car untill we fill out some subaru survey that comes in the mail?? he said if we dont fill it out, dont bother taking it to stevens creek and take it to some other dealer. i think thats complete bull****..

Here's what you do.

Remove every piece of "eye candy" and what-not from the car that you have added since you bought it. Have your dad take it in to a dealer OTHER THAN THE ONE YOU HAD IT FIXED AT THE FIRST TIME. If the car appears to be his, and he represents himself as the owner, you have a MUCH better chance of getting it fixed under warranty. Keep in mind, if the clutch is FUBAR'd again, you're probably screwed. Good luck! :sadwavey:

the clutch should be pretty worn out. i drove it home in 5th because i was in a pretty bad neighborhood and didnt wanna leave it there overnight.

i got the number of the subaru rep named Mike? im gonna try to call him tomorrow and see what he can do or why stevens creek is denying service unless i do that survey. i've removed everything already and most likely gonna bring it to Carlsen Subaru since thats where i bought it, i hope they have better service over there.

the clutch shouldnt be worn unless you have been beating on your drivetrain.. or it was defective along with your tranny

You might be in trouble now with no way of reversing course. If SOA knows that you're the primary driver of the car, my little 'dad scam' won't work. At any rate, tell the SOA rep that Stevens Creek is trying to blackmail you into giving them a good survey in exchange for free warranty repairs.

(BTW, I have over 55,000 miles on my original clutch, you shouldn't have to replace them as often as you seem to think )

im not here to bash on you

i heard from alot of people you launch ur car at redline most of the time
the tranny can take a beating but not droping the clutch at redline beating
stevens creek has always been good to me but alot of people dont like them
but dont abuse your right of warranty, stevens creek has always been mod friendly well from my experiance so plz dont keep breaking parts and expect to get fix by the dealer

im done here

ahaha thanks shaun, but all of it is hear say. thats wierd because i was really driving normal when 2nd broke and wouldnt first gear get f*cked if it was abused by launching? no sarcasm, i really wanna know.

stevens creek was an alright dealer until the service manager said what he said. my intention is not to bash on them, but if they just said, bring the car in without any ******** remarks, they wouldve gotten a ok in my book. but i respect where your coming from, and thanx.
