There could be a price difference. When I was speaking with another vendor, he said that there were two different models, for the wagon. The one without the dot matix(third visor) and the one with the dot matrix(third visor). The one with the matrix will be more expensive.

Good luck with everything guys. I don't think mines is PPG. I didn't know the difference either. I paid $150 installed for an "aftermarket" glass that doesn't have the 3rd visor (dot matrix) but just a blue strip tint across the top. I don't know the brand of my glass either however, I looked at the bottom corner of my windshield and it said "Laminent" i think.

Hopefully everything works out for you guys. So far my glass is holding up fine with no apparent problems.

Just called Mike - cool guy.

Quoted $198 out the door for PPG glass on my 02 Sedan.

I believe the $150 for PPG price might have been for pre-02 impreza's.

Weird, I didn't get any email notification on postings of this thread anymore.... just happened to check.

I will call Mike. Since I have a '05 STi, then I guess it is $210 installed. I will ask if he has mobile as well.

BTW, as far as quality goes, how do we know the PPG is better than other after market glass? Is there a spec. somewhere?

I have STi; wondering if the PPG price is $210 or if I have to pay more.

Anyone of you set up for the mobile installation, meaning he / his employee comes to your place? I guess I will ask him.

When you go to have you glass replaced, pick up the PPG screen, then after he removes your old glass pick that one up. Quality you can feel. Nothing says you have to go with one of the best automotive glass manufacturers in the US. You could always replace it with OEM.

Way better. No more little mico-chips, or I can't belive that cracked my screen. Granted, it's glass, glass breaks, but the PPG is much thicker higher quality glass than OEM. I can't believe how crappy subaru OEM glass is. How many times have you read that?

Hey guys, I'm set to get mine installed tomorrow. Have any of you already gone? How was the service/product/install? Any feedback is highly appreciated by everyone.

You's better call up Mike and check. He is there at the shop now. Just spoke to him and order my PPG for STi, '05.

The price for STi '05 is ~$230, not the $210. He said with the 3rd visor costs a bit more....

Topcover, if you are not getting the 3rd visor then you might be paying $150.
