02 windsheild price?
is the group buy still on .. I would be interested depending on the glass they use and if they have the third visor or not. $150 seems like a crazy deal for windshield of good quality. If it's PPG glass I am in.
I know that PPG makes good glass and are stronger to chipping. Mexican brand glass like the ones that come with our cars stock are said to be shatter proof but then they chip so easily. I have so many chips and cracks on my shield.
There was a thread that I have read about the different brand of glasses out there and what people's experience with them are.
I have seen old cars with PPG glass and they dont' have no chips or cracks on them.

If there is gb, I'm in as well if the price is right. We should try to get the OEM gaskets online to save some money as well. Anyone have the part numbers for an '02 Sedan and an '02 Wagon?

Ok, sorry guys, been busy at work this week. I'll call today and see what they can offer us.
So far I have 4 people in:
1) xqwizit
2) Hkwan
3) wagonrEx
4) topcover
I don't mind an aftermarket gasket as long as they do a good job. I'll get quotes and ask how much it is if we provide our own gaskets since it looks like some of you want the OEM gasket.

xq, thank you very much for doing the leg work!
As far as the gasket, yeah, I think we can have them quoted separate since some of us might be able to re-use them (according to some shops I called/talked to).
Warranty is probably important - lifetime on labor is good in case it starts making noise or leaks during winter rain.
Now as for brand, I have no idea which brand is crappy. Wagon, would you know which is a good brand and which is bad? How do you determine a good/bad brand?

Ok guys, just called Best Auto Glass. Definitely a group discount under $150. What I'll need is year of everyone's car info to confirm.
I have a '02 WRX sedan. (sedan and wagon may be diff)
The windshields will have the tinted strip at the top.
Lifetime warranty on workmanship
Gaskets will be reused and shouldn't need to be replaced on an '02 unless you want to pay more for it. They can use a "universal gasket" if you'd like. Not sure if that's extra though.
Brand is TBD, they claimed a premium company but will get back to me.
Also, one thing is that for this price, we'd have to either get it done at the same time but I told them all within a week of today. They get a quantity discount by ordering at the same time so that's why we'd need to be sure that we are getting it done.
So with this in mind if you are still seriously interested, reply back with your car info ASAP.

They used a universal gasket on mines and it works and looks fine to me. Ask for Mike too, he's the owner. You can let him know that Ron referred you guys and hopefully he'll increase the discount even more. I have a silver '05 STI.
Thanks for the coordinations. Is it possible to find out what brand before I commit? Also, what do u mean by the tinted strip on top? Is that the third visor or just the typical tint that all cars has?
Thanks again. Interested pending on brand.
