Exclamation Help!.. don't know if is my turbo or clutch..

Hello guys need some help
i have a 2002 wrx whit a jdm J19 turbo,STI trans, Racing clutch..
here is what my problem is..
when i accelerate over 4000 RPM the turbo supposed to kick in but all it does is accelerated it doesn't pull.. it sounds like the clutch is skipping but i only have this problem after 3rd gear..

The Clutch would stink to high heaven if it was slipping

I'm betting you have a bad Intercooler Hose that's leaking off boost

Do you have a boost gauge? AFR? Logs? anything?

I work in Dublin I get off at 5 if you want to come to Dublin Wednesday or Thursday close to that time I could take a look at it for you. let me know

i toke the intercooler out, check all air hoses i didn't see nothing wrong... So were can we meet in dublin?

Do the RPM's go up but car doesn't accelerate when this happens? A slipping clutch is usually very obvious.

... so this was easier than looking at your boost gauge I suppose...
