wheel and tire fitment for 03 wrx

as some of you know, ive been debating on what wheel/tire size to use. finally i found a really easy to use guide and figure out which one i should use...

my results are

Stock Tire - 205/55R16

>Search Tires Tire 1 - 225/50R16
>Search Tires Tire 2 - 245/40R17
>Search Tires Tire 3 - 215/35R19
>Search Tires Tire 4 - 225/40R18 >Search Tires

all of which has lower than 1% difference to stock size efficiency.
the site also tells you what size rim to use.

very helpful info

thats quite a difference in widths between the tires. between 205-245 is a pretty big difference. im not sure i understand by that "diagram" exactly what you are looking for in a tire.

mainly ive been trying to size out tires that are the widest i can go and safest for the type of wheel...

the comparisons i have was just a random search to see what i would prefer to use.

basically, i would use this as a guide to what size to use with a lets say 17x8 rims versus 18x8.

if you know a tire you like (such as the Hankook R-S2 Z212) you can look at the data sheet (http://www.hankooktireusa.com/product/Z212.pdf) it'll show you what wheel width each tire size will fit on.
