Question about Tire/Wheel Fitment
I have a 2001 GC8 Impreza 2.5 RS.
I have Prodrive GC-05F wheels on it which are 17x8 with a 46mm offset.
On top of that... it's running on 245/40/17 tires.
I'm also running on stock factory suspension.
Technically... the wheel was for the '02+ Imprezas and the tire setup is a bit too wide for the GC8...
When I have heavy loads in the car or back passengers, the rear seems to rub up against something. I can't tell if it's the fender or the suspension because I'm not seeing groove marks on the tire yet.
I barely hear anything from the front, but the rear is where all the rubbing noise is coming from.
Was wondering, if changing the tire setup to 225/45/17 all around would get rid of this noise or should I just change wheels all together?
