What tire size would you recommend?
I am buying some 18x8 Rota Torques for my car and plan on buying Kumho ECSTA MXs for them.
What size would you recommend? I am hopefully buying another set of rims and tires for autocross but these will have to do for now and will have to accomidate for daily driving at the same time. I do plan on lowering the car at some point.
Some people have said 225/40/18 and some have said 235/40/18. What is the biggest size I can go with without tire rub. Is fender rolling a hard thing to do?
Thanks

what suspension are you running right now... stock, springs???
tire sizes all depends on if you wanna cover up that gap that occurs in the fender and wheel. the bigger the diameter: example: 225/ 235, will cover up the gap.
when i was on my eibach pro kits lowering springs, it lowered the car about 1.3 inch in the front, 1 inch in the rear but i stayed with 225. now that i look back at it, 235 wouldve covered up the gap fairly nicely without any rubbing.
now that ive upgraded to coilovers, i still stayed 225 cuz i was afraid that i might have an issue of rubbing, but i think its safe to go with 235 with my current set up.
ive seen people go as big as 255 on their cars, so its all on personal taste.
heres a pic of my car with springs and 225s:

and heres a pic with coilovers and 225 as well

hope i helped you out in some way, hope to see ya at the Duke one of these nights. i havent gone in months.

I think I am going to go with 235/40/18. Hopefuly I don't rub, but if I do i will get my fenders rolled.
I haven't been to Dukes in about 2 months either. I really need to go but it seems that I am out of town on business on wednesday latetly.

Oh and I am running totally stock. Was going to buy a Cobb AP but autocross really wore my stock tires, so I need to get new ones. So might as well get new rims also.

come to the duke this week...good chance I'll be making the treck out there this week.
225.45/17 is pretty standard. I run them as well.
that 18 size should run just fine onyour car. I'm thinking of going 245/40/17 on my wagon but I think I might wait until summer to do it...bah.
