Tire chains

Is it necessary to put chains on all 4 wheels to prevent from damaging the differentials?

Nope. Put them just on the front. You can put them on all four wheels if you want but it's not necessary. You won't damage your car. You're probably not going to need them if you have all season tires or winter tires.

yeah just the front is fine. you don't drive fast enough with chains to cause enough damage
