HEY GUYS I HAVE AN 03 WRX, and i have kw variant 1's, 17x8 rota boosts, and 235/40/17 falken azeni rt615's. love the tires. i want to have a gnarlier stance, and i have only recently noticed super wide staggered wheels/stances on sub's as being attractive. do i go wider wheel? or wider tire? why do some people run helllllllla wide wheels on only 225's?? any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys! lets get this ***** squatttttting. k

Its called a Stretch. There is not any real performance advantages. I've heard its supposed to keep the sidewall more stable when cornering but NO tire manufacturer would ever recommend such a thing. Personally I think it looks stupid.

i am the guy that goes against the flow.. make that tire fit right, don't stretch the thing. that can cause some serious tire damage

If ya want aggressive fitment its about how wide you want to go and offset lower offset more it would stick out 225 on a 9 size wheel would be huge stretch. I have no idea what you are going for

Yea go 235/40/17 with 17x8 with maybe a different offset if you want your tires/wheels to be even with your fenders...

Im gonna go 17x9 with either 235 or 245 40/17 just depends on the offset I get
