Rim and Tire Issues

Hey..i have an 02 wrx with a few engine mods. I have had rims for about 2 months but have been waiting to put them on my car. I bought a farely nice 225/45/17 tire by sumitomo. But my rims is 17/7 will that fit onto that tire nicely or did i make a mistake somewhere?

You'll be fine like Chris said. You'll just have a bit more sidewall bulge than if you were using a 7.5in width wheel. No biggie unless you're paranoid about the looks (an advantage is that the tire will protect you from curbing your wheel to a certain degree

)
