Exclamation Quick tire help!

Ok, so I'm planning on going to the Thunderhill RallyX on Sunday but I'm in dire (spelling?) need of new tires. I have balding re92's right now. Right now I'm pciking from Avon Tech M550 A/S, Perelli PZero Nero M+S, and Kumho Ecsta MX's. Someone also told me to check out BF Goodrich KDWS's. I dont have a whole bunch of money to throw into some tires, which is why I'm looking at more inexpensive tires. Tomorrow will consist of calling tire shops and getting prices. Can anyone else recommend some other tires to check out that might possibly be in stock at a local tire shop?

How important is the rally-x to you? Ideally, you'd get snow tires for that if you're running in the non-rally class. Below that are the aggressively treaded all-seasons like the KDWS. The MX would suck for it; wide, big tread blocks, and a soft compound that will get chewed up and spat out by a rocky/gravelly course, although I think Thunder Hill is pretty much soft dirt. Basically, pick an all-season tire with big tread voids and a high wear rating. I have 16" snows that I was planning to use for rally-x this season, until every single one of SFR's rallycross dates ended up conflicting with Reno Region Solo II events. Barring that, I'd go with the KDWS myself based on some great reviews I've read of them for that purpose.

I guess I'll scratch the Kumhos off my list, there were only on their because the guy at Discount Tires reccommended them. I thought snow tires werent good for dirt races because due to the soft walls you can run the risk of popping the bead?
