painting stock rims
i have 2000 RS rims on my car, and i was wondering if anyone knows what it takes to get them painted. what kind of spray paint do you guys use? do you gusy primer? or use a finish?

It would probably be better to have them powder coated as it is less likely to chip if you hit something. Paint does stick to the wheels pretty well though. I think it all comes down to availability and convenience. If you have somewhere by your house that does powder coating I would do that. Probably not too much more $$.

Here is a picture of the rims I spraypainted on my car. I know it is not that close up but you can get the idea. All in all it cost me like $20 w/ primer and paint and sandpaper. It took me a while to do but in the end I felt the result was well worth the time and cost.
