painting rims

have anyone ever painted their rims? i saw this guy with painted gold stock WRX rims. they looked decent...im thinking about doing it...my friend actually did his s14 with just spray paint...it looked decent...what you guys think?

Are you sure they are painted stock rims? There are a few companies that are selling rims that look like the stock ones that are gold but I don't remember which companies.

You can do it, you just need to make sure and prep the wheels first (sand and primer) so the paint stays on. I have heard people with painted wheels complain about the durability.

dont paint, powder coat

paint can look good but wont last, powdercoating looks good and lasts

yea, my friends 240 is like that...he sprayed his stock rims grey....but those are only his track rims...but they look coo...maybe ill do it when i get some rims....
