Optimal offset for a 17x7 or a 17x7.5 wheel

I have a WRX sedan and am looking to get some new rim's and tires... Is the following snippet a good guideline to follow?

7.0" ....... +50 to +53
7.5" ....... +47 to +50

I think +48 is the smallest you can go, but I'm sure 0.1mm isn't going to hurt. I have OZ SL's and they are +48mm on a 17X7. So, I think +48-+53 is safe.

Right on
