There is a vicious rumor that SSR is bankrupt, & presumably going out of business*. Is there any truth to that? Also, IIRC, you guys had a desire to be the sole distributors of wheel lines that you carried. Is that still true? If so, why carry lines like TIS & gramlights? & what do you think of the Firestone Wide Ovals?

...my ditto to that
I found this in english:

Seems that the company(s) who make SSR (Speed Star Racing) wheels are in bankruptcy. Good news (rumor?) is that the organization is restructuring.

Even if SSR does actually go out of business, somebody will buy the rights to the SSR semi-solid forged manufacturing process and continue to make them. SSR Comps will be around indefinitely.
How is that known? & even if that does happen, who is to say that company will still make Comps & the GT1/2/3s? Why is there a new SSR wheel (the GT10) if they are not financially sound? LUKE - Respond Por Favor!

This SSR issue does raise a lot of ????. Remember the holiday is not far off and a lot of people take time off around now for spring break. Luke may be out waiting for the Easter bunny
I suspect SSR will be back in production but can't hazard a guess as to when. Then I got to thinking about how long it takes a factory to start producing again after a shutdown and the shipping time needed to get the product to distributors.
Since I have the SSR Comps on my WRX, I went ahead and ordered a fifth wheel so I'll have a spare. Playing it safe if I need a wheel during the summer and the SSRs are out of stock. It's good to have a spare around. I never could go down to the wheel shop and buy one off the rack. No down time that way. I bent two alloy wheels during the 12 years I drove my old Eclipse GS Turbo. Since I put $$$$ into my four SSRs, I'm protecting my investment until the company gets back on its feet.
