Before I mess this up and drop my car on the garage floor or on me....What is the safe way to lift a wrx wagon and where should I place the jackstands? Can I lift it using a floor jack on the diffs or? I want to rotate tires & install brushings so ramps will not work. Thanks john

Found the answer by seaching for "jackstands". It is good to know that one should not access the crossmember or diff using a wheeled floorjack from the side of the car while one half of the car is on stands or the stands may tilt!
John,
I use two floor jacks and four jack stands at the "lift points" to rotate tires. DO NOT get under the car, though, when it's on 4 jack stands because something as small as a child could push it over. If you need to get underneath, jack up front and back seperately using parking brake and 1st gear to brace the grounded wheels.
