Anyone recommend any local sports shops that aren't too expensive? =P, I know there are a couple of Big 5's and a Sports Authority in the East Bay and an REI. I was wonderin' how your experience and the range of variety there (looking more into weight lifting gloves for now).

 

Gloves are for pussies.

 

in my experience with lifting gloves + heavy weight is, they actually hinder your grip on the bar because they bunch up at the knuckles while grabbing the bar. if you can find some super tight ones or use football receiver gloves they will work fine, help alot on pull ups, dead lifts, pull downs etc.
