Issues with tire size on Wagons

Tire size question once again.....

I did a search and this has never been asked before. (At least it didn't pop up)

Have anyone tried to run +50 offset on their wagons on 18"s?

I had 225s on 48 offset 18s on my wagon and had serious rear lip contact. 50 will probably work but it's gonna be hairy close, camber and tire selection are the varibles that will make it work. Get some bolts to make sure you can get at least -1.2-3 camber both sides at the rear, -1.6-7 if needed. You will want max negative camber at the front too, excess width in front can lead to trashed fenders. Also tread width varies by brand for a given tire size, check out the spec page on Tirerack and stay away from anything wide. Of course you probably know your safe options are to stay with 215s on 17s or roll the rear lips and run anything you want.

So you are saying if I roll the fenders.. it's should be good to go with any size...???

Within reason -- wheels no lower than 47-48 offset for 225s and with 50s you might even be able to stuff 235s in there. Fender rolling is very gently bending inner lip upwards to create more room -- body shop type operation and not exactly cheap.
