Question Help with wheel offset, tire size, for a modded Impreza

Hi all,
I am now the proud owner of a WRX sedan, that I intend to lightly mod. One of the things on my list is the wheels and tires. I intend to lower my WRX by about an inch and a half (roughly) both front and rear. I am also planning on getting 17 inch rims with a width of 7.5 in. What would be the correct offset for a wheel like this? According to what I have read from the forums is 48mm - 52mm for the offset. I have also read that tires should be around 225 mm for 7.5in wheels. But my concern is, whether there will be fender rubbing with such a set up? Does lowering the WRX and trying to increase width of the wheel/tire pose a problem? Anyone with such a setup? Any input would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks
DaWorstPlaya

On the sedan you're good with those offsets and 225 width tires with 1.5" of lowering. As you go lower, your ability to correct the camber decrases as the tops of the tire will get close to the fenders as you correct (decrease the negative) camber to keep tire wear normal. The camber correction required at a 1.5" drop has reportedly not been problematic in terms of rubbing with 17x7.5 et 48-52 with 225s.
