Help please...tire size question

Just got some new wheels, and I don't know what size tires to run. They are 17x8.5. My car is lowered on coilovers. (i searched and could not find what i was looking for) The pic is how it sits on my old wheels...will I need to roll the rear fenders?

Thanks,
Ray

What's the offset? 235 or 245/40-17 should be nice fit. What brand/model tires are you getting? Some tires run wider than others.

I have Advan RCII 17x8.5" +45 w/ 245/40-17 Bridgestone Potenza S-03 PP & SPT Pink springs w/ OEM shocks. My rear fenders are rolled, but I still rub on super sharp corners. I'm putting on 235/40ZR-17 Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec pretty soon... they are actually wider than the S-03s.

Oops sorry left that part out...they are rgII's with a +48 offset. Dunno what tires I'd like to get, just not an all season. That's what the other wheels are for.

245/40-17 is the most popular for you setup but, it does require some fender work and / or alignment changes

Yeah, 245s are a good fit. I'm thinking of getting some 17 by 8.5 in/ rims soon, but I'll probably go for 255/40R17s. Not sure of offset yet tho...
