Dexter, or anyone, need advice on tires please.

Dexter,

I know that there are various posts out there of people who have narrowed their tire search to at least three and who need help picking their tires. I already have done a search and I don't think I found what I need...I'm sorry if there are so many of these directed towards you but I would really appreciate it if you or anybody else could give me their opinion on the tires...

I've had my 17" SSR comps for a while now and I haven't been able to buy tires because of money and also indecision. I got them narrowed down to these:

Continental ContiExtreme Contact
Sumitomo HTR+
Pirelli PZero Nero M&S
Nitto NT Neo Gen

From the info in Tirerack.com...I figured that they are the best value for Ultra-High Performance All Season tires. The only tire I don't have any info on is the Nitto Neo Gen. There isn't any info on them online. Also, I was leaning towards the ContiExtreme and read your compliments bout em but then found this link where somebody bought em from discount tire and had to return em because they were "wobbly". They were just bad from the factory and it "had been an issue" with the ContiExtremes.

I live in Sacramento and go snowboarding when I can so I kinda need good snow tires. Thanks in advance!

The Contis are best in the snow, but the Pirellis are more fun on the highway. I'd go Pirelli if you're concerned about "wobbly" and learn how to maximize their performance in the snow. Or, just go with a summer tire and get some steel wheels and snows for the few days a year you need them.

Haven't driven on the Nittos, but the other three I have tested thoroughly.

Thanks Dexter! I'm probably going to get either the Nitto's or the Pirelli's.

Why do you want all seasons? I'd go w/ a higher performance wet/dry tire, unless you plan on going to tahoe, then you can use your stock rims and tires.
