Couple Questions

Is an alignment recommended for a plus size (+1) aftermarket wheel? For example, going from the stock 2003 wrx wheels to 225/45/17 aftermarket ones?

What's the recommended torque for McGard spline drive lug nuts and wheel locks? I had them set at 80 lbs torque yesterday on some Rotas. After doing a little searching, it seems that it should be around 70-75 lbs? Is 80 too much or should I have them lower it?

80lbs is too much for any rim. 66-72 is around where you want to be(I believe the recommended number is located in your manual, this applies to aftermarket wheels also). Alignment is not necessary for going to a bigger wheel.

I looked, I couldn't find it Even looked at the specifications in the back of the manual.

Anybody know what page it's on?

I torque my spline drives to 75 lb-ft. I think you are OK at 80, but you might have trouble getting your wheels off if you ever get a flat. Carry a breaker bar with you just in case.
