That should work well if you have a sedan. Wagons will have rubbing issues with 235s.

i have so3's in 235/40/18..
and when i first put 'em in.. they rubbed like mad... front and rear.. i had to roll my rear fenders, and it still rubs sometimes..

sti's come with something like 225 or 215/45/17's. 235 is kind of wide, the speedo will be a little off. 225/40/18 is the closest

USDM STis come with 225/45/17s. The closest 18in tire would be a 225/40/18. Most 235/40s call for a 8in to 9.5in wheel, but you could pull it off.

I'd just get 225/40R18s in Kumho MX. You won't really notice the missing 10mm of tread.

i hate you. i want those really badly for my 04 wagon. rubbing?! no!!.j/k. easy solution: roll em fenders.

235 is kinda big though. 225s are great.

Like others have said, the STi comes with 225/45/17's. I bought a set of 18x8" Volks and am using 225/40/18's on them. Works well for me. No rubbing issues on my STi. 235's may be a bit of overkill.

You'll likely need a bit of a rear fender roll, probably front as well. That all depends on your offset. It will, however, look and perform great once the rubbing is fixed - which makes it all worth while!
