2006 STi needs new tires

Dude are you kidding, everyone knows the RE070 have stiff sidewalls and handle very well, it's just that NEW RE070 from tirerack cost more than some of the tires that give you the same performance. I love the RE070's on my stock STi, i'm looking for a used set. These tires are very grippy.

I wish i still had 070's on my car, but i cant really complain, i got my wheels and tires for an awesome deal, ill eventually go back to 070's or something equivalent, Proxes 4's SUCK!!!!!

Uh, the Stock tires are pretty darn grippy dude. 
Might want to try the Potenza RE-01R or Advan Neova AD07 in a larger size if you want more grip... Also could try Toyo RA-1 tires, those are R-compounds but they require that you get some heat into them before they come in... very streetable tire and not tremendously expensive for the grip level they provide.
