Question STI Limited needs new wheels/tires, how about some suggestions?

I've decided that I really don't like the 17" Enkeis that came with my '07 STI Limited...so I want to upgrade to 18s. Looking to to spend no more than $500/wheel and would prefer forged. For size, I'm thinking 18x8s with 235/40/18s, I don't want any rubbing issues, and although the car is at stock ride height I will eventually drop it with pink springs or equivalent.

I'm looking for some suggestions, perhaps a polished lip and light to med. gray spoke color, nothing too busy or too hard to keep clean.

Thanks in advance!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Stick with 17"s, 18"s will just add more weight and give a much harsher ride. I know they look cooler but with a nice set of 17's you wont even care. I really like the BBS multipspoked RGR's but they are a little pricey. I also like the prodrive P1's, great price and great look. Its pretty much up to you though, depends what kind of look you perfer. Good luck.

If you really want forged 18" rims, you really can't beat this deal.

Click on the right arrow until you see the SSR GT7-H wheels, forged 18X8 on close-out from The Tire Rack for $249 each. Click on the size and price underneath the picture, and you can even get an idea of what they'll look like on your ride!

I strongly recommend the Yokohama Advan Neova AD-07 tires for whatever rim you decide to go with, as long as you're looking for a high-performance summer tire, that provides utterly amazing handling and cornering prowess, with decent traction in the rain (but is not suitable at all for mud/snow/ultra cold temperatures).

Question

OK, I've done a ton of reSEARCH here, other than Volks and Prodrives, the only wheels I really seem to like are the Gram Lights 57F. They appear to be the best bang for the buck in monoblock forged 18x8.5. World One has the bronze:

And Gruppe S has them in gunmetal:

I can't decide....I think either would look good, has anyone seen a gray WRX with bronze wheels?

I saw a STI like mine in Japan with bronze wheels (not sure what kind) but didn't get a great pic:

Bronze on Grey FTW!! When I get 17's im going to go with bronze I think it looks sick against the Urban Grey or dark grey colors!

I have the exact same car as OP pondering the same thing but I am going with a track set of 17s. I want to keep the weight down compared to the Enkei's. Check out the SSR Type C-RS at 16.4 lbs and a 48mm offset. Lighter than the OEM BBS's on Std STI.
