ive been out on those dunes before with no problem airfilter wise. the problem i ran into was that my sunroof was cracked open and i didnt realize and clogged that up pretty good. the radiator was clogged with some wet sand but other than that it was a blast. any driving like that for a prolonged time regardless of the terrain will take its toll on the car but its a blast anyway.

I'm sure it's fine to do it a few times, but to "frequent" the sand will take its toll on the stock components.

Did you have to deflate your tires? I know The trucks have to. I've been thinking about taking my wrx out there but was a lil skeptical. I'm glad to see it won't be a problem. I used to go there alot with my tahoe.

yeah i aired down to 15PSI . it was fine. i made it all the way out to comphill using the sand highway. didnt even get stuck. it was surprisingly easy to drive out there. just had to go slow. couldnt charge through cause of ground clearence issues. so i advise if your lowered dont go out into the dunes. the beach will be a blast though.
