BBQ by the Beach. May 24th, Baker Beach, SF
LATEST NEWS: The BBQ will be "BYOD", Bring Your Own Drinks. This will really help us out
[b]MENU: Kal bi (Korean bbq short ribs), Chop-Che (Korean glass noodles), Salt and Peper Porkchops (ala Aya's Mom's restaurant, who luvs ya Marc!), Chinese Chicken Salad, Hotdogs and sausages, chips and dips.
WHAT: Lunchtime BBQ by the Beach. Food, Cars, and any other fun we can think of. In the evening whoever's left can come and watch SpeedWorldChallenge @ Mosport.
The cost for the food will be determined... I'm figuring from $5 to $10. I'll have to let you know when I have a headcount. For now, count on bringing a $10 and I'll bring lotsa change
WHO: So far...
Fo' sheezies: Aya, gavin-5, DareDevil, porkchop, OwlBoogie, Imprezer, iloveturbos, wrx ish, SFmiamiWRX, rtx2k, Scooby Boy,tk5dan, eastbaysubaru, takumi, alvatune, choki doru, bluwrxwagon, S-Rex, mmboost
Maybe: shadowcat, Choki Dor
Please let me know ASAP if you are coming. Bringing guests is cool, but bring extra $
WHEN: May 24, 2003, Memorial Day Weekend. 11:00am
WHERE: Baker Beach, Presidio, San Francisco
FOOD: The organizers will bring the food. If you'd like to help out (and please do!) let me know ASAP. This means that I need as close to an exact headcount as possible, including people who are bringing good and the general slacker population !
The link below is a web form to get directions from your starting point to a intersection about 500ft north of the entrance to Baker Beach. What you do is, click on the link, enter your address for the starting point, click the "Get Directions" button and you're set!. [Click here to get directions]
Click on the map to get an interactive version:
Primarily we're gonna be on the beach to EAT! But bring along your beach toys, footballs, etc. Personally, I don't like to move all that much (and its really starting to show). There will be grills there (no, I said "grills", not "girls" ) and I have a little hibachi kinda grill I'm bringing too. My fiancee claims she's going to prepare a batch of Korean BBQ for me to cook there and I'll be picking up some panchan (all those little dishes you get at the korean restaurants).
It'd be cool if we had a time to check out eachothers' cars and people describe what we've done since the bash at Lafayette last Spring. I'll bring tools if anyone wants to risk simple mods in the parkinglot
Later in the day, if we get tired of the beach and you still wanna hang, my place is about a mile or two away and we can go back for some PS/2 (dont forget your card!) and at 5pm SpeedWorldChallenge Touring at Mosport will be on TV. I plan on watching it. And to top off a sweet Memorial Day Saturday, ride back to the beach and watch the sunset. Maybe head down HWY 1 or across the GG Bridge.

Yea, if UCKK is the rendevous spot for the east bay folk and we all caravan to the BBQ, that would be awesome. I'm down to go if I have nothing else to do.
