Woman gunned down during protests in Iran

So I assume you are on the side of reformists right? Well if we look at this conflict in Iran with Cultural Relativity then you should be on the side of the islamic clerics. the side who want to shut down a popular movement, a LIBERAL MOVEMENT. run by the urban, college educated "elites," who you so despise in our country(USA). Can't you see the similarities here???
For once you are actually on the side of damn liberals!!! its a base level irony, i know, but its still quite laughable.

Huh?
With regards to Iran, I'm on no one's side.
It is really none of our business what is going on over there.
Plus, I despise no person; white, black, conservative, or liberal.
I may disagree with their political bull****, but not enough to hate.
BTW, Isn't the Iranian president a college educated elite?

The way they view the world through the lens of Realpolitik make them exactly the same. Yes I know they were not twins. I cant believe I am actually having this retarded conversation.

I think the phrase "college educated elite" in Iran means someone that supports a secular and progressive government--at least that's how it was during the '79 revolution, and I'm sure it hasn't changed since then. Ahmadinejad is very traditional and far-right in his religious and social views.

The deeper America becomes entrenched in other country's affairs, the less "American" we become.

by the constitution we have no right to meddle in other country's business. But again, we have retards with power hungry crap always leading the country. Why? Not because we voted them in, because the people with the money count more than we do.

I feel like your historical knowledge of Iran is lacking. Iran started its downward spiral when the United States helped put the Shah dictator in place in the 1940s, and it got worse when the Iranian people decided that they were tired of the U.S.-backed dictator and had a revolution in 1979 that put a unique mix of democracy and religious rule in place. It's a very similar story across much of the Middle East, including places like Afghanistan and Iraq.
Deal with 100,000+ tribes each owning their own oil trade or give weapons and unlimited support to one guy (or military) and have him slaughter everyone for us. That way we only have one dude to deal oil with, better business, prices, and constant flow of black gold at the expense of local tribes losing their land to these US backed leaders. Hmmm...wonder why people are pissed.
But, historically, this issue can get even more complicated when you bring religion into the mix and the history behind Muhammad.
