I'm not comparing discrimination to beheadings, you are missing my point. I am pointing out that Christians pick and choose the scriptures they wish to adhere to. More importantly, the ones they want you to adhere to.

You're right and it's been discussed by comedians and theologians for years.

But seeing how we're comparing Christianity to Islam in this case then we can't forget Muslim Hadith. Not only are most Hadith controversial interpretations of the Quran but each sect accepts, rejects, and has hadith of their own. And they do this despite the Quran suggesting that nothing should be written beyond the Quran. Most hadith are views of old Muslim leaders that contradicted the Quran despite their personal motives.

You clearly do not want Christians to start killing so your point is sketchy. I think it shows a level progression or at least an acceptance that Christianity must change with the times. Discriminating against homosexuals is more convenient I suppose. It's not like it's a huge barrier for homosexuality either, not even the government is a barrier for that matter. Just look at how the government has still ignored polygamy since it was ruled unconstitutional in 1879. The Supreme Court struck down state laws against homosexual sex in 2003.

And if you think about it why isn't there a hadith that contradicts corporal punishment in the Quran when other hadith contradict parts of the Quran? If you ask me that makes Islam that much more questionable when compared to Christianity.

Monotheism has kept anarchy in control for over three thousand years...

Everyone needs something to keep them on the strait and narrow. As long as you aren't hurting anyone, I'm all for it.

Ha ha. Thanks there sport. You sure showcase the intelligence Austin has to offer. You and I obviously can't communicate...

Peace out.

I think we just come from two very different outlooks. Plus I sort of like the ribbing we give each other, its pretty entertaining.

I can understand how something like that can be offensive to some but to me it doesn't do anything to me. I also see why this doesn't cause a huge out cry in the US. We are a country that has been able to move forwarded where things like racism has been legally taken care of. To compare us to Iran, at least to me, is an insult. We should lead by an example of acceptance of others points of view, as long as they don't harm others physically, not get bent out of shape that someone doesn't believe what I believe.

Things done like this are to bring attention to an issue. It is done to cause conversations between individuals about the subject at hand. Thats why they did it.
