And Oaf- I agree you need to start coming up with your own material...

why you ask? because this is not worth pontificating. if you read Savage and take his advice to heart then you are not a worthy candidate for discourse. reason being, Savage is a polemic to the most beligerent degree.

So, who's advice should we take to heart?
What talk show host(s) should we listen to?
Maybe Air America?
I've listen to Randi Rhodes...and she's doing everything that you find fault with Dr. Savage.

Liberals had better be careful how far they want to push America to the Left.
You may be closer to the breaking point than you think.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?
Uh oh...we might just end up COMMUNIST all the sudden...wtf...

There are a few countries in this world that are WAY more socialistic (liberal) than us that aren't considered 'communist', and at least one of those has a higher standard of living (on average) than we do. So what breaking point are you talking about?

Don't listen to talk show hosts at all. Haven't we all learned that yet?

oaf,

my claim does not suggest you go turn on Air America. I dont listen to that crap either.

if you tried publishing research derived from polemical sources, your research would be invalidated by the unreliable data chosen. same thing hold true in this case IMO.

the book is a generelization at best, modern liberalism is much differant than classical liberalism.(coming from a "conservative") his show and books, although entertaining and sometimes even insightful, is right along the lines of air america.

Thank you! I honestly think John Stewart had it right. These guys are just doing it for ratings and not about the issues at hand. Maybe if this changed we could be headed in the right direction, instead of arguing over stupid crap.

Ummmmmm... then what do you imagine is John Stewart's motivation? He doesn't represent the majority of the American people, as proven by the election.

Yeah... he's never done it for the ratings
