haha yeah... when the Democrats say "congrats, they're in the bloodiest civil war imaginable" when we leave. We can say, "yeah, we gave them the weapons" even though they already had ***--loads. Good strategererey.

 

Yeah, I DIDN'T title this thread with a past event that backfired.

 

Last night Frontline on PBS had a pretty in-depth look behind the policy scenes in the first year of the war, and even coming from the mouths of the guys who believed they were doing the right thing, it was pretty amazing to hear just how bad their decisions were and how nobody was really in charge.

This administration and their loyal but misguided sycophants couldn't manage to do one thing right it seemed.

I really cannot imagine how we're ever going to get out of that mess, and how tragic it is that a few idiotic decisions made early on set the course for the disastrous conditions over there to this day.

And yet there are still cheerleaders pushing us to repeat the same mistakes to the east in Iran...
