The Tax Man Cometh!
How did you fair this tax year?
I don't know yet, as I had to file an extension, but I get to roll over the remainder of a $100K loss from TY2006.
In a related story, both Hitlery & Osama/Obama want to raise the Capital Gains Tax, which will certainly **** up tax revenues even more.

I was pretty happy this year. Normally we get slammed. After buying the house and a bit of creativity, we widdled it down to just $130 to federal. Way better than the 9k I owed last year. I need to get on the stick with my 403B. TY08 is going to be another killer unless I buy another house.

I thought I was going to get seriously owned in the thousands by uncle sam this year but ended up getting money back from both. I'm stoked. Turns out my tax info and numbers were wrong according to my accountant.
I didn't notice that my company hadn't been paying out local tax, so I got slammed with a nice bill... Now that I know that, I'm going to estimated quarterly payments (for TY2008) so it's not so much of a hit.

Not too bad this year
Roughly 6K back. The interest payed on the house, other miscellaneous deductions, and the stimulus check helped a lot. It's going towards lumber for a new backyard fence and the rest towards hookers, I mean paying down debt.
