FACTS FROM 1982 HERE ON THOSE W/AIDS
NO on 8.
What really annoys me is that Prop. 8 supporters are really trying to spin this as a "Protect Marriage" proposition. If they REALLY wanted to protect marriage, they would put out a proposition that would:
- Make divorces illegal.
- Make adultery a felony.
Let's see how many people would vote for that.

I just read the "rebuttal to argument against prop 8" in the voter packet. One of the people who signed it was:
Jeralee Smith, Director of "Education"/California
Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX)

Ex-Gays?

I had a gay friend who's parents sent him to this "re-education" camp to try to de-gay him.
He said it was just a place for gay kids to hook up.

Does it mean that you have to go to a state ref?
Seriously though, I searched, and, in California, adultery is not a criminally punishable offense (i.e., not even an infraction). If you find anything in the California Penal Code that states otherwise, please provide a link.

No it does not.
Incest represents a form of child abuse - meaning, if you bang your sister there is a very high chance that the child will have genetic defects. That is the reason Incest is illegal.
To allow gay marriage/unions/whatever is only to two consenting adults, regardless of sexual orientation, to be given the same legal rights as a modern day heterosexual couple. Thats it. No animals, no children. Neither or of these have the ability to consent.

Is that fair?
And if birth control is used, why can't siblings marry?

I think all this has to do with what's culturally relevant. Culture will continue to change and this prop is basically a test to see where the lines are drawn at this point in time.

Are you trying to say that homosexuals are "better" than polygamists or incestuous siblings?
Are not all three simply people trying to live their own life, on their own terms?
How much freedom is too much?
